Traits of the Month for October: Be Honest
Be Honest – To be truthful. Being honest means telling the truth at all times to your parents and teachers.
It’s a busy time at DIS. The basketball season for the boys begins on October 13th with nearly 100 players. We have about 200 students participating in our Chorus program. Over 100 students signed up for Renfro Runners and about 50 students were Cookin’ with STEM. It’s fantastic to see so many of our students participating in extra-curricular activities.
The 1st grading quarter of the year ends on October 14th. Electronic report cards will be available through the Skyward system on October 25th. Please continue to contact your child’s teachers about their academic progress.
I look forward to seeing many of you at the annual Parent/Teacher Conference days. Your teacher will be scheduling a time with you in the upcoming days. Conferences will be on October 27th and 28th.
Thanks again for all of your support. It’s great to be a T-Bird!
Yours in Education,
Principal – Dorris Intermediate School

Please - No Parking Next Door at Glazy Square
Many of you used to drop off or pick up students at the Glazy Square donut shop next door. Please help us be a good neighbor and improve student safety by using our circle drive for drop-offs and pick-ups. Their spots should be for customers only.
